Grade II Listed Farm, Cheshire

A Grade II listed farmhouse with an associated listed granary, stables and coach house. Ian Rowan Heritage provided expert heritage advice to support a sensitive redevelopment scheme across the site.

The proposals included the introduction of a glazed link between the granary — which houses a swimming pool — and the main farmhouse. This carefully considered addition allowed the buildings to be connected in a contemporary yet respectful way, ensuring that the architectural significance of the heritage assets remained clear and legible.

In addition to this, Ian’s input helped secure planning approval for the creation of three residential dwellings within the wider farm complex, enabling the site to be brought back into active and sustainable use while retaining its historic character.
